TFE would like to congratulate our November member of the month, Halla Charki of South Riding!
Halla started her fitness journey before the pandemic. She was a busy student, overweight and wanted to make a change. Halla began incorporating small changes like a healthy diet and increased her water intake. She began to see changes in her body and the weight began to come off, but then the pandemic hit.
It was very frustrating for Halla because that meant she was stuck at home with not much to do. She ended up gaining some of the weight she had lost. After things started to open back up she joined TFE. Halla said “TFE has given me the resources I need to help me throughout my weight loss journey by giving me a fun and encouraging atmosphere”.
The group exercise classes are her favorite and all of the instructors have been very helpful! Halla really enjoys the strength and cardio classes. Now that she’s lost over 90 pounds, she wants to tone up. Her goal is to lose 40 more pounds!
Halla said it has been a long journey with many ups and downs, but plans to keep persevering toward her 40 pound goal! Halla chooses fitness to be healthy!
